This has driven the formation of a specifically focussed Management Steering Group to oversee the implementation of our strategy and the achievement of the associated key aims and objectives.

The team possess both specialist industry knowledge and experience as well as extensive business & operational management expertise in meeting customer requirements. In the overall context of the energy transition this is particularly relevant within the emerging hydrogen sector.

Bob Drummond

Chief Executive Officer

Bob has 40 years experience in the oil & gas industry and has served as Chief Executive Officer since 2003. Before this he worked in senior management positions for major energy and services companies both in the UK and internationally. He has extensive experience in strategic and operations management. Bob has an MBA from Aberdeen University.

Neil Thompson

Chief Operating Officer

Neil has more than 25 years’ experience working in the international oil and gas industry. He joined Hydrasun in 2003 and was appointed Chief Commercial Officer in 2015. He has a successful track record of delivering major projects worldwide for clients across a diverse range of industry sectors. Neil has completed a Directors Leadership Programme at Cranfield University, has a BSc(Hons) in Quantity Surveying and is a Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).

Chris Jackson

Chris Jackson

Specialist Consultant Renewables

Chris has 23 years’ experience as an advisor, consultant, CTO, and engineer in hydrogen and related sectors. His technical experience on projects in the Americas, Asia, and Europe spans Hydrogen Infrastructure (Green, Blue & Grey), Electrolysers, Renewables Integration, Refuelling Systems, Energy Storage, Ammonia, Fuel Cells, Combined Heat & Power, Reformers and CCUS. Chris has a PhD & BEng in Chemical Engineering and an MBA, he is a Chartered Fellow of the Energy Institute, sitting on their steering committees for Hydrogen and CCUS and is an advisor on the Scottish Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association’s Hydrogen Safety Forum.

Craig Sangster

Chief Commercial Officer

Craig has extensive experience in the energy, petrochemical and marine industries working in sales & marketing and senior management roles in the UK and Australia. He joined Hydrasun in 2003 as Sales & Marketing Manager and took on the role of Director Sales & Marketing in 2005. He has a proven track record in strategic business development and implementing successful sales growth strategies. Craig has a BA(Hons) in Business Studies and a Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Steven Harris

Steven Harris

Supply Chain Director

Steven joined Hydrasun in 2003 and took on the role of Operations Director in 2016. Before joining Hydrasun he worked within the Pharmaceutical industry where he developed extensive experience and expertise in delivering continuous improvement programmes, building his expertise in quality management and Lean Six Sigma. Steven holds a BSc(Hons) in Applied Chemistry, an MSc in Advanced Analytical Chemistry and an MBA.

Alan joined Hydrasun in 2020 in the role of Regional Director. Alan has over 25 years extensive experience in the energy, oil and gas, petrochem and marine industries working in the Operation and Management of major engineering projects across the globe. Before joining Hydrasun he worked with the Weir Group with responsibility for the management of the service facilities across the UK. Alan has a BEng in Engineering Manufacture and Management and an MBA from Strathclyde University and Business School.

Stuart Mitchell

Director of Strategic Business Development - Hydrogen & CCUS

Stuart has over 25 years experience working in the Utilities, Nuclear and Thermal Energy market sectors. He held various Senior Leadership & Executive Leadership Team roles with a major EPC contractor prior to joining Hydrasun. He has a particular focus on Business Development and Technology Development and within previous roles has had specific responsibilities for developing a net zero technology portfolio for low carbon energy markets and driving diversification. He also has expertise in the management of strategic partnerships and establishing collaborative consortia. At Hydrasun, Stuart has specific responsibility to manage and develop key customer relationships & identify key growth opportunities for the Hydrasun product & service offering within the Hydrogen & CCUS marketplace in the UK & Europe.
